Brook grew up in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia spending most of his time in Kelowna where he studied fine art at Okanagan College. In 1980, he started his illustration career at Odin Creative Dimensions in Calgary, Alberta. Since returning to Kelowna in 1983 he has specialized in architectural rendering, working in tempera (gouache), watercolour, pen, and pencil. His favourite hobbies are hiking, photography and oil painting.
